Frequently Asked Questions

3 to 4 years old for violin. Children who have taken a year of Suzuki Baby & Toddler Music Class may begin at age 3 with an instructor’s recommendation. The ideal time to begin lessons is 3-5 years old to capitalize on the child’s formative language learning years, although we also instruct older beginners as well.

We take the time to get to know each of our applicants before confirming enrollment. We will schedule an interview with you and your child so we can meet each other and you can get to know us. We want you to have all the information you need before deciding to enroll. You will also have the opportunity to observe a lesson with a child of the same age. Many 3-year-olds are not ready to take formal music instruction, so we highly recommend they take our Suzuki Baby & Toddler Class first to help them prepare for formal instrumental lessons.

Private lessons typically start at 30 minutes for young beginners and increase in length for more advanced students. Group classes are 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the level.

Contact us for current tuition pricing.  Our tuition is priced fairly to compensate our instructors for the extra time and training it takes to be able to teach high-quality Suzuki lessons. We do offer discounts for families with more than one child enrolled.
